This trail is great! Never busy when I go. Is steep at some points but the views are worth it to me.

Beautiful but dangerous. It's all sand and boulders. I'm too clumsy for this place
Great hike with plenty if views(mostly when looking back)
Beautiful trail with free parking in a convenient lot in the Ventana Canyon hotel overflow parking. There's actually a marked area just for people using the trail and the parking is right in front of the trail head. There is also a nice map at the trail head showing the different tails that intersect and the distance to, and of, all the trails. Great views down to the Tucson valley from about 1 mile in. This is not an easy trail but not too difficult until you get a ways in and even then its reasonable for even novice hikers. The trail does get steep as you get go further in so go expecting to put in some leg work.
One of my favorite hike. Roughly 5 miles to go to the pools. That is a steep hike but that is worth it. I made discover my friend Lizzy this place. Gorgeous views from Tucson. I cleaned the route. Some people put some wrong signs. We got in the wrong direction. The path is really obvious now. This hike does not require to climb anything. Bring plenty of water and happy hiking.
