Yesterday I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered in a while: Flying cross country from Maryland, we landed at KTUL (Tulsa international) and pulled up and parked at the Atlantic FBO at 10:30 pm. We were immediately greeted by two ramp guys, with great service who asked what we were looking for. We requested fuel top off, and for the cost to stay overnight, either in a hangar or outside. One guy goes inside to get the prices while the other begins fueling. At 10:35 PM we are informed the prices are 20 for outside tie down or 100 for the hangar overnight. We tell the crew will take the tie downs for 20 as we didn't want to spend 100 on the hangar. The plane is then completely tied up by 10:45 PM and refuel completed. We gather all our bags and walk into the Atlantic Aviation FBO and there is no one behind the desk at 10:55 PM. We wait for the front desk employee who walks in from the hangar at 11 PM. He makes his way behind the desk. I hand him my card and wait while he begins processing and the payment and I'm SHOCKED to see an additional 170 on the receipt. The desk employee points to the clock which is now showing 11:03 and tells us there is a \Late Ops Fee\ after 11 PM. I inform the desk guy, we were finished well before 11 PM, asked all the fees up front(100 hangar or 20 ramp), and the only reason it's now past 11 PM by 3 minutes is because we have been standing in the lobby waiting for him to return from outside in the hangar. He had zero customer service, and wouldn't budge on fees and I am charged a total of 190 just for an outside tie down spot. Here are the Fees charged to my card: 150 Late Ops Fee 20 Security Fee 20 Tie-down parking 122.43 for 21 gallons of 100LL At this point it was late, we had already been flying for 8 hours for the day, and the winds aloft were 57 kts at 3,000 and gusting 28 at the runway otherwise we would have left.
