Our renters mentioned that they were using a lot of water. Got them to leave everything off. Then I turned off the water. Meter was stopped. Turned on the water & ran 1 gallon of water. Meter showed something like 5.4 gallons. Called the city. Told them the renters should get a substantial refund. City went out, found the meter defective, replaced the meter, but didn't refund the over-charges. We think that when city-supply equipment improperly measures the water used, that the city should refund the difference. After all, the city has no problem sending people bills for years & years of back service, when the city forgets to read the meter!

I am so sick of wasting my life hours on hold for your customer serv reps only to be asked to hold again when all I want to do is give a payment confirmation code. And its a slap in the face when they go and read it to you cause they got it already. An entire waste of time. Id feel better taking to a bot. Wasted tax dollars on useless employees.

The water department put the meter in the wrong spot even after I told the lady on the phone there were 2 meter spots in front of my house and she assured me they knew which one was the correct spot. then the plumbers show up and charge me 400 to dig up the yard where water was spewing out saying I must have a broken line. The line was broken and for a city sprinkler setup that used to be on the property before the house was built 30 years ago. Now I am out 400 to the plumbers due to the water departments screw up. When the city finally got out to put the meter in the correct spot the line to my house worked perfect no leaks and they did not tighten down there side of the meter so the meter hole is %100 filled with water all the time and they have yet to come back out to fix their side. my side is fine my meter isn't spinning at all.
