I took two jackets to get work done, one was a oversized varsity jacket and another was a full leather motorcycle jacket. I took the varsity jacket in first for alteration, torso needed to be narrowed and sleeves needed to be shortened and narrowed. A lot of work needed to be done to make it properly fit my skinny frame. You don't see varsity jackets too much out west but if you are from back east, you know the type of jacket. It also had a lot of stitching that needed to be undone to get the sleeves altered due to the paneling. I had the jacket on while it was being chalk marked almost everywhere. It took several weeks but when I finally got it back, it fit really well and the stitching on the leather, felt torso, and quilting inside (sleeves and torso) is excellent. You could not tell it was altered. Given how much work it took, the cost, imo, was very reasonable. My motorcycle jacket gets used a lot. So much so that the zipper slider was wearing out causing the zipper to skip and jam. They tried to fix it without getting a new zipper but that didn't work out which I already knew. I had tried many tricks myself but the zipper slider was just too worn out. A new zipper was ordered and stitched in place, also for a reasonable cost given that the jacket itself was fairly expensive when I got it about 20 years ago. Did I get my use out of it, yes, but I hated the thought of throwing it out due to a bad zipper. My experience with this shop is very positive. I had been looking for a shop that could work on leather, not easy given how thick and stiff heavy leather jackets are. Excellent workmanship. Staff are pleasant, southeast Asian so english isn't perfect but their workmanship speaks for itself.
This place is awesome! The quality of work is great and the prices will not break your budget! I came here to fix 2 issues: -the first was a pant hem that another shop had messed up not once, but twice -the second was to repair a sleeve on a blouse that had been worn once and then the hem came out Both issues were fixed quickly, and both hems are holding well. I have definitely found my new tailoring shop for the future! I highly recommend the quality of work, the speed in which it is completed, and the prices!
So let's set the stage here. I haven't worn my best suit in a couple of years and two days before my wedding I pop it on to make sure everything still fit like it should. Well to my surprise I had lost 2-3 pant sizes and the jacket fit like something I picked up at a thrift store. So the next morning, I call them up and explain the situation and they say come in let's see what can be done. With only 24 hrs before my wedding I'm seriously stressing out. At first I was told to come back the next afternoon but then I reminded him I needed it by 1pm the next day. The look on his face was priceless, really. He said "I'll have it done by 10 tomorrow". That was a major relief to say the least. Not only did they have to let out my pants in the back, take them in on the sides but he also made them a slim fit. The next hurdle was the jacket. Without making this review any more long winded than it currently is he basically performed open heart surgery on my suit and had everything ready by 415pm that same day. Now I wouldn't expect that type of service from anybody but seeing as it was for such a special event he made it happen. The suit looks great, fits wonderfully and I can't stop raving about the quality of service (let alone skill level of services provided) to anyone that will listen. I will certainly be coming back for any and all alterations I will ever need.
I ask them to shorten my leather jacket sleeve and they murdered the stiching. Very very bad work! They even put a double slip to fit sleeve cuff. Now my jacket is ruined and I donk know if I'm going to wear it. Cause everytime I put it on, it look like it have flap wings. Everytime I look at the stiching it's so grossed.
This is the highest quality alteration I have ever had for the best price!!! They resized my expensive chiffon dress expertly without any sign of alteration! It was incredible. They told me I could expect it the following week ( I let them know I was not in a hurry) but then had it done 2 days later. I was almost in tears when I saw how well it fit and I don't know if the gentleman was a hugger or not but I could not help myself. This is the only place I will go for alterations!
I have been getting my clothes tailored here for about four years now and have always been extremely happy with the end result. I have referred many friends and family to this tailor,, who just so happens to be the sweetest man I've ever met in my life!
Same day service for shortening sleeves on a suit jacket before a wedding. Very happy.
