I really enjoyed meeting Dick and seeing his and his wife's beautiful artistry (she does amazing weaving). The shop is slightly off the beaten path and worth the find. His work is beautifully simple and useful with the marks of his hands. He described his process and how he makes his own glazes from natural resouces. Seeing his woodfiring kiln was amazing. What hard work! He invited my husband and I into his studio and answered all our annoying questions while making our purchase. This was one of my favorite stops on our Northshore trip.
