I walk/run this trail almost every day; it's three miles from my house to the hospital, and six miles round-trip. A beautiful walk through lush forests and a field blooming with wildflowers, plus a couple of lookout points along the way to view different marshland habitats. It does tend to bog over in the rainy season, but is equally pleasant to walk; just bring some good boots and a sturdy jacket. :)

Picked up the trail going south at an entrance where 10th St. dead ends. There is soon grassland with nice wildflowers at the beginning of summer, and shortly after that is an entrance to the woods. The trees are tall and slender. After a ways another trail (the \Trillium Trail\) joins in. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon we were the only people on the trail.

Ice Age Trail - Dunes Segment This is an easy, well maintained level trail between Aurora Hospital and 10th Street in Two Rivers (a segment of the National Ice Age Scenic Trail). The trail continues to Columbus Street at 12th Street. Mostly pleasant woods, but also a few meadows. Birds, butterflies and deer abound. Lots of wild raspberries. Several spurs are worth the detour with numerous rustic wooden bridges over marshlands teeming with wildflowers. Enjoyable hike, but bring or wear mosquito spray. The trail continues north from the 10th Street trail head to Columbus Street (at 12th), where you can head towards Lake Michigan and walk thru downtown Two Rivera to the Rawley Point Trail, which joins with the Point Beach segment of the ice age trail.
