Downtown Tyler has meters with a two hour maximum. This lot allows you to park for free if you are summoned for jury duty in Smith County, but there is no guard or gate. Parking is never validated or verified. People doing business with or in county buildings park here to avoid paying meters. Nobody ever asks if you have proof that you can park here. Free parking in downtown Tyler!
