Beautiful trail. Single file line trail width most of the way to the top. Heavily shaded. Would recommend to friends.

Great spot to stop and take in what you've just hiked. And to get ready for what you still have to hike. The view here is alright, mainly this is a spot to stop and say "whew"
Great spot for a break climbing the Priest.
If you're headed up the priest, this is a good spot for a breather. Great views, and usually some company.
Solid hike. The trail to the overlook is pretty easy and not terribly difficult. Past the overlook it gets pretty tough, especially if there's snow up there. The summit isn't as rewarding as you might think, the view is blocked by trees and when they have leaves it's even worse. But what you can see through the trees is very very beautiful. I rarely like to hike a mountain and not summit so it was still a good time.
Pretty river crossings. Elevation change catches up to you near the top.
From the parking area take AT and you will find this is quite a strenuous hike, especially the first quarter of a mile. It tends to even out but near this first overlook it gets quite difficult again. It’s a calorie burner if you are into that. It took me and my dog approximately 1.5 hrs to get to this overlook and 45 min back. The views at this stage are super rewarding. The trail continues up to The Priest which appears to be a couple of miles further up from here. In total it May be up to 4 miles and 2.5 hours there and back.
