Mid March may not be the most ideal time to visit. Though it is nice to take a walk at the park. It shall be more interesting if we can visit the exhibition hall to learn more about the History of the city. Unfortunately, it was not open on the day we visit.

A great place to see the sakura. There are many types of sakura trees in the park.
Must see in Ueda shi. A Lot of history and wonderful trees. And also the best Pokémon go spot in town. There is a museum, gift shop nearby, and a a baseball field next to the castle.
There are trees with nice autumn leaves during month of November.
There's a big slide in the Park. It's a huge one. I tried it myself and its pretty high. But kids love it so much
