It is a nice restaurant just opposite Kyoto university (Uji campus). We went there for a lunch, and they offered us an English menu without asking it. The price of the lunch set is below 900 yen. It is a good cafe to dine in.

Good place with delicious food located just opposite Kyoto university Uji campus. Love to dine in for lunch. Might be crowded during lunch time though.
The food is nice and the atmosphere is tranquil. They are friendly to English speakers and always very efficient when splitting the bills XD

今日は宇治方面。 京阪宇治線 黄檗駅から徒歩6分ほどの、喫茶店 チャイム でランチをいただきました。 食べログのパン百名店として超有名な たま木亭 に隣接するお店です。 外観はメチャ喫茶店ですが、食事メニューはかなり充実してまして、これはもう定食屋ですね(*艸*) 魅力的なメニューが目白押しですが、チキンのニンニクねぎソース をオーダーしました。 チキンカツに揚げたニンニクチップと青ネギが散りばめられ、醤油ベースのあっさりピリ辛のソースでまとめられています。 んん〜〜美味しい ご飯は結構ボリューミーで、お腹もいっぱいになりました このお店、かなりの実力店です。 大満足のランチでした。 ごちそう様でした(**)
喫茶店？と思いがちな外観だが、内容は定食、軽食、コーヒーからなんとビールまで！１人でふらっと軽食とビールなんてことも。そんなおやじセットでも作ってもらいたくなる宇治黄檗の老舗。
