A really good pub in a set back rural location. Offers classic pub food along with a solid selection of ales and lagers. We went when it was Tier 2. The set up for social distancing was excellent. The staff were great too. Very friendly and attentive with table service.

great burger from wild board, lamb cutlets weren't so great because of mint sauce, meat was great. Lots of beers and nice interior. It's definitely lovely pub.

Stumbled upon the Anglers Arms pub by chance and was met with a warm welcome by all the staff members, whom are also attentive and helpful. The place its self is clean and tidy, it's also decorated nicely with some lovely pieces of memorabilia on the walls and boasts a comfortable atmosphere. The food for me is spot on, hence why it's a popular choice for other diners, so I would advise anyone visiting for food to book in advance. I'd like to give Alan and his family who run the pub a special thank you for going out of their way to ensure myself and everyone attending was comfortable and happy. I would 100% recommend that anyone visiting the area should call in and see for themselves, my friends and I will be visiting again next time we are up in the lakes. Once again thank you to the owners, staff and locals which all helped to make our experience at The Anglers Arms magnificent. Thank you Marie for your acknowledgement looking forward to seeing you all again. Good health.xx

Took a while to arrive and food was pretty average. Kids meal were quite good but adult meals were poor for the price. I have not seen a fish and chips quite so poor since I bought a pack of Tesco frozen fish and chips. Unfortunately won’t be rushing back which is a shame as I have been here many years ago and remember it being really good.

A wonderfully cosy little pub. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal - a highlight was the generous portions and the dessert. One of the best meals we have ever had out. 100% would recommend.

Beautiful spot for lunch when visiting the Haverthwaite railway. They even do deep fried milky bars!
