Just completed the five day Lakes Trail - enjoyed every minute. 80 miles over varied and often challenging terrain. Horses are fit, well schooled and well mannered. Not just a riding holiday, this was a unique experience. Can't wait to do it again! PS: You need to be fit and you must be a competent rider in order to enjoy the long trails. This isn't pony trekking.

Classical dressage lessons have opened up a whole new world of riding which I wish I'd learnt years ago. Beginning to ride how I've always wanted to but could never fathom out how! Love my lessons with super horses and staff.

My partner and I had been staying in Cumbria for the weekend and really fancied going on a woodland hack. We have riden before but we needed a little updating so we went with the taster session and then the woodland hack afterwards and honestly we loved every second of it. They had hats and boots there for us to use. I was feeling so anxious but the instructor was so nice and pointed out my positives and negatives so that I knew what to improve on and she even asked us if we wanted her to take our picture on the horse after, I had Ellie to begin with but she was having an off day (and probably felt my anxiety) I had Tommy for the woodland hack and he was a lot more relaxed with me. Im not sure the people who have left bad reviews in the past had even been here before because we didn't have an experience like there's at all. Everyone was so professional and really friendly. After we had our lesson, we put on high vis and waited for our horses, there was 2 friendly dogs and a cute little cat that wanted playing with while we waited. We went on the woodland hack which lasted about an hour. We walked down the lane and then trotted up through the woods and back up again. The guy who took us out kept checking if we were OK and he was really lovely. Once we had finished our riding they told us to leave our boots and hats to one side for disinfectant too so Covid friendly. We are really happy we chose here but my thighs the next day aren't though lol. Would definitely go again if we go back to the area.
