Fabulous place to have a holiday in - close to Grizedale Forest so you can cycle down, walk or if you have to drive and park in the expensive car park (:0) - Hint if you don't mind a bit of travel, there is a free car park before you get to Grizedale. Great mountain biking, walks through the forest, Go Ape experiences to hand. The cottage easily accommodated 8 of us plus the dog, with Hawkshead not far for provisions and the Eagle Pub for when you can't face cooking, this is an ideal spot to explore the Lake District and I would highly recommend it. The owners are easy to deal with, making it very easy to book in and very reasonable rates for the area.
