Victorian Lakeside Pier is a nice tourist attraction. Gift shop, panoramic view restaurant and worth to see Lakeside aquarium. They make quite good coffee at the pier cafereria. Fantastic (even regardless of the weather) 1-hour trip throughout Windermere lake on motor vessel Swan deck from 1938 (powered by 2 diesel engines). In July 2020, m.v Swan was well organised and had proper social distancing due to COVID-19.
Kindly do not book online as the company is not equipped to handle online bookings efficiently. I booked in a timely fashion before the cruise, still had to queue for a paper ticket which they did not provide as they ‘couldn’t find me on the system!’ Told to buy another ticket which i did not do as I had just wasted nearly 50 in fares and parking! Very unhelpful staff. The boat itself was packed up- no social distancing! No thanks. Save your money, time, and more importantly your health!
An amazing place, wonderful scenic point especially the Windermere lake
Easy parking (4 for 10 hours). Full cruise of Lake Windermere available from here. Leaves hourly approx during season stopping in Bownes and Ambleside where you can get off and rejoin a later boat. Takes about 3 hours to Ambleside and back. Can also be combined with visit to aquarium, motor museum or heritage steam railway. We finished our day with the aquarium and excellent evening meal in Lakeside Hotel (fine dining). Probably not suitable for anyone looking for a quick, cheap meal.
Großer Parkplatz und Start für Lake Windermere Rundfahrt. Es gibt eine große und eine kleine Runde. Wir sind im Boot sitzen geblieben, weil wir überhört hatten, dass man umsteigen müssen und waren dann auf einmal auf der großen Runde. Man hat uns aber netterweise nicht über Bord geworfen sondern wir durften so die große Runde bis zum Ausgangspunkt hier zu Ende bringen ,-)
很悠閒的一個渡輪碼頭，是溫德米爾湖遊船的終點，也可能是湖光水色旅途的起點。 一出鐵道月台可以在湖邊散步、可以坐在咖啡館因為這段拿鐵與水色對映的閒散時光！是屬於旅人自己的。
