It was lovely to be able to walk amongst the grounds again. It's so peaceful and I even stumbled across a little pet cemetery and thought it was a lovely tribute to pets that have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. The cafe is serving take out hot drinks and cakes. All very tasty. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The temple is stunning. I'm looking forward to joining one of the 'de-stress' courses when they are back up and running. Lovely place to visit for a morning or afternoon. Will definitely return in the near future.

I adore this place!! The building is a little run-down but that doesn't matter because there's a great peace to be found here. Everyone who volunteers/works here is polite, competent and friendly. The food is tasty and affordable. The gift shop has some great odds and ends. But my favorite thing by far are the walks that you can take around the grounds. It's so refreshing to walk among native woodlands. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

One of the more interesting places to visit along this coastline. Along with the shop (closed, obviously, at the moment!) there is an excellent café, numerous walks through the parkland and, for the more adventurous, shoreline walks in both directions. Ulverston with its lighthouse and quirky shops and cafes lies in one direction, while half a dozen free shoreline car parks lie in the other dotted at intervals along a pebbly beach. The parking at the Centre is free but using the shoreline parks a little further along allows you to walk into the centre, have a coffee, then take the same route back. There are other walks inland around Bardsea well worth considering. Though this is not an immediately obvious tourist attraction, this area has much to offer.

Beautiful, peaceful and aesthetically pleasing. The Buddhist asks you to remove your shoes or the use of shoe coverings when entering the temple. Has some information on boards to read of the history. Gift shop has a wide range of selection from Buddhist themed items, pretty healing stones, eco made things, cute kids toys and some groceries.
