We were introduced to Alec and his team via a client at our local Architect Practice. After receiving several comparison quotes for a large scale domestic job, we felt that Viking Forestry were not only well qualified and experienced, but the most understanding of our needs on the difficult project. They undertook the tree work safely and skillfully providing all the necessary accompanying paperwork, eventually felling and processing 70-100 tonnes of timber, much of which was 'past its best' (rotton cores, multiple large limbs prone to dropping small branches etc). The work was on sheer banking with difficult vehicular access, and running alongside a public footpath. Further to this, the large beech trees had to be felled to avoid a ruinous Scheduled Monument at the bottom of a gully, which remained unharmed throughout the works. Not only was the timber felled and processed so that it would keep and maintain its calorific values as fuel, it was also removed from the difficult felling ground to a more stable storage area nearby, all with Viking Forestry plant. The team have a vast knowledge of arboriculture and forestry, and we felt we could leave them to their work knowing they would undertake the given brief without direction. We have recommended them for projects big and small and will continue to do so.
