Just stayed in woodside cottage and we enjoyed it so much we have re-booked! The cottage is beautiful, well kept, clean and everything you would need for a home from home trip. We arrived with milk in the fridge and some welcome gifts which were much appreciated. The location of Woodside is great, it's lovely and quiet but you can easily access all the other parts of the lake district. Brian and Alison are great and kept in touch to make we were OK, had everything we needed and provided us with some wonderful local works that the whole family enjoyed especially our 3 dog's who also loved their holiday and can't wait to come back.

We stayed at Woodside Cottage for 5 days to celebrate my birthday at the beginning of December. We have been to the Lake District a few times over the years but this was the first time renting a property. We chose Woodside for its rural location but easy access to the rest of the lakes. The cottage is beautifully decorated and well equipped, so cosy on a cold winter’s night. We walked up to High Dam from the cottage where our dogs enjoyed a swim. I think we were the only ones there! Brian and Alison are great hosts sending us lots of useful information regarding walks, places to eat etc. We would not hesitate to return.

I have had three trips to Woodside cottage, its a lovely cottage with everything you need for a holiday. Its handy for Bowness 20 min drive, 30 mins to Kendal and Ambleside and 45mins to Keswick. Alison and Brian are wonderful people very helpful if you have a problem.
