Really good dive center with accommodating staff. They were able to find wrecks really easily without getting lost which maximized diving time. Also a great place to get your wreck diver certification

Such a friendly and exciting environment to learn how to dive. T takes his time and is very knowledgeable in his diving experience. I never felt out of my depth and the staff take every precaution possible to make sure everything is safe and runs smoothly. The owner Hans was very welcoming when I first arrived and I was able to share lunch with Ashel and T most days at the delicious restaurant next door. Aside from this the diving was totally exhilarating. This is the best dive centre to attend in the area. Thanks
We (female, male, 24) did our PADI OWD course at unawatuna diving center. As we had engouh time, we took five days for the whole course (theory, test, pool session and four open water dives). Toby is just an awesome instructor. Very patient, calm, experienced and so good at explaining stuff. The equipment is also very good and close to the center are some perfect beginner spots to dive. Only two days after finishing our PADI OWD we retourned for our first dive as official divers. If you want to get a professional training for the PADI OWD or divining in general, this is the place to go! Highly recommandable!
Excellent diving center. Took the 6 dives package. Experienced, well-trained, organised and very helpful staff. New equipment in top notch condition that guarantee safe and relaxing dive sessions for fair prices. Over 12 interesting diving sites. A big heads up to Guillaume, one of the dive masters, who was always proactive and in control.
Friendly and skilled people, but I think their prices are not worth it - paid 70 euros for two dives and later found out that it's 50 in next door dive shop. Also not their fault, but diving near Unawatuna is not very fascinating if you are expecting to see lots of corals and fishes. I hear that most of the reef died after the tsunami when corals were out of water for more than an hour.
