Very thorough care with our cat late last night. The vet took plenty of time to sit with us and explain procedures and recommendations. If you are worried about your pet, they will receive excellent care here. There is a premium to pay as an after hour specialist, but they are perfectly upfront about it and it's pretty reasonable, all considered.

There are not words enough to explain how amazing this practice is, honestly hands down one of the most caring and loving staff that are so dedicated to helping animals in need.My little black cat was rushed in yesterday after getting her paws on my meds. From me rushing in with my baby Miss Binx in my arms to the awesome Nurse Shelley who quickly assessed her and gave her Love, to the amazing feline specialist Dr Rachel who assessed her and calmly explained our option to ICU vet who kindly let me see her before leaving her in yours hands and also who took a picture for me as she knew my daughters were in the car and then to the ICU nurses Mady and Zoe who texted me video pictures and update through the night to kept us sane. We are so blessed that we had such a dedicated team ensuring her health. Hands down the best practice. I really want single out Nurse Shelley who quickly assessed her then brought me a cup of tea just because she thought I needed it while I laid crying on my mum to her sneaking in to ICU on her shift this morning just to check on her and then send me photos with her holding my baby Miss Binx and a picture of her clean plates. You kept us sane and it helped knowing while we could love on her you were there in our place. I can not be more thankful and blessed as Miss Binx made a miracle recovery over night and that is all in thanks to the team at VSS and the Emergency Vet Service. I typed this with baby laying next to me and I was so close to never having that again. Thank you so much you guys from the girls out front to the nurses and vets you are one in a million.

We lost our beautiful little Fizzy dog on Tuesday night. The staff were very tender and caring towards her and us. We very much appreciate the time they let us spend with her and everything they did to make her death peaceful.

I rarely review things, but in this case, I’m making an exception. I attended the Animal Emergency Service at Underwood on Christmas day 2020 and I just feel the need to share with other pet-parents the awesome service I / my dog (Ripley), received. Staff were nothing but delightful and kind on a day they had every right to feel a bit put out. We were attended to very quickly (within 15 minutes of our arrival) – I was expecting hours of waiting. Ripley was approached so beautifully. The vet who attended to us was patient and took the time to comfort Ripley, who was a little anxious. He listened to all my concerns and addressed each of the issues I raised. As well as the immediate treatment Ripley needed (which was effective and spot on), I was provided with a range of options and recommendations for follow-up with my regular vet and specialists. I cannot thank the staff sufficiently for everything they did for us. Compassionate, professional and effective. What a Christmas present! I can only report my complete satisfaction with this group of excellent service providers and my only regret is that I can’t take Ripley there for routine veterinary care. Emergency situations are horrible, but if the occur (and they will!) I highly recommend the Underwood Animal Emergency Service, without reservation. Thank you for being there for us.

Genuine care from the staff at Animal Emergency Service - in the middle of the night or weekend. Knowledge, skill and first class facilities. We know our little girl is in the very best hands here when she is unwell. Thank you everyone !

I had my beautiful 8yr old Great Dane Kramer in last Friday night for what I thought was going to be an emergency surgery. After what felt like hours of deciding what to do I made the difficult decision to put my baby to sleep for good. I am heartbroken but, the care, kindness, patience and consideration shown by the vet on duty, Ellie was second to none. She even stayed back at least an hour past her shift, waiting for me to make my final decision. She talked me through the pros and cons at least three times, and showed an enormous amount of empathy. She was basically by my side the entire time I was there in the cage saying my goodbyes to my boy. In times like that, people like Ellie make that memory bearable, knowing that I had her genuine understanding and support with boy In my lap as he took his final breath. It couldn’t have been more peaceful and I’m so glad it was Ellie we had that night. Thank you to Ellie and the team.

We had just moved to QLD from VIC and our cat got extremely sick on the way. On New Year’s Day we turned up to the surgery and were met by the loveliest girl. She was so reassuring and immediately I felt a sense of relief. It didn’t stop there, the vet was equally as lovely. Our cat was diagnosed with the cat flu and had to be quarantined and treated over night. We were kept up to date and reassured at every stage. We could finally relax knowing that he was in such good hands. They were truly amazing. Can’t thank them enough for making our boy well again xxx

My toy poodle Jackson presented at the Animal Emergency Service on Boxing day night 2020 very poorly after an encounter with a cane toad. The vets and staff there were super efficient at treating Jackson immediately and caring for him amazingly. He came home the next day back to his normal self and I can't thank everyone at the Animal Emergency Service enough!
