This place was recommended by a local. My husband and I stayed for the weekend and had dinner here. The decor and outdoor seating was very well done super cute and warm! We didn't even need a blanket. I had the salmon (with the skin that had some crunch) which was really good and my husband had the ravioli with a house salad to share then warm apple with cranberry crisp and the food was DELICIOUS I'm not normally a fan of fruit dessert but this dessert was so yum! We had a very nice dinner for our first night in Old Town Philly, we highly recommend and will always go back when we're in town!

A real gem... Retro style! Stopped in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The steak salad was delicious. The right amount of steak, French fries, and the sweet onion dressing, amazing. And they have homemade pies. Will definitely be stopping back!

JJ’s Retro Eatery- What happened to customer service? I want to share an experience I had with jj’s retro eatery. I ordered 3 pies from them on Thursday. Saturday I drove 45 minutes to get there and spent 85.00. 2 of the pies were not made correctly.

Very cool place for the location. Don’t judge it by the outside. It looks kinda dingy. But the food is good. And inside, they go out of their way to create a nostalgic diner feel. There are juke boxes and old photos and the old counter, etc. They do a great job with their resources. The food is very reasonably priced.
