I saw about your rescue through the trailer accident on Saddlebred Rescue as they were going to New Holland, Pennsylvania to pick up and rescue horses marked to go to slaughter . And when someone asked if they'd heard about it and the spoke of your Rescue and how even tho 14 passed that these with Strong Guardian Angel's would not ever have to worry about that happening to them ,that you all would take care of them !

I can't say enough good things about this wonderful place! Their purpose and mission says enough but then you see the staff and volunteers LOVE what they do and LOVE these animals. It's amazing and definitely worth the (beautiful) drive.

This place is one of my favorite places ever. My passion is giving animals loving forever homes and I was fortunate to be able to adopt 2 senior horses from Longmeadow. They were extremely thorough in their process to make sure that I would be a good parent for these babies and I appreciated that. Highly recommend.
I was very disappointed in this place !! They said we could not adopt a horse even though we were willing to spend a lot of money fixing one of them a dry lot cause she had issues with eating grass ! I feel they did not do a good job because they said that we were denied because of vet care which was a total lie . I called the owner of the vet place we use and he told me that no one from Longmeadow Ranch even called the vet I work with ! Also I never even had a chance to go sign paperwork to let the vet talk to them ! Amanda who runs this place said she will call me and we can talk about this and I told her I would like a call here it is almost 2 weeks later and still no call ? I have called and left many messages but she never even once called me back , she just emailed me she was always busy or in a meeting or not there . This is very sad that the people who really care about saving and giving a horse a good life have to go though this. The horse we picked was for my daughter and after she went though hell with her dad going though brain surgery and she went there tried out the horse and this horse was recommend by one of the trainers that they would hurt my daughter like that !! Just don’t seem right and not to even call me when you said you world ..Yea great place NOT !! I will never donate again ..
