I've been hiking for over thirty years and chose Iain to start my training towards Mountain Leader. Over the 13 hour day, Iain's patience, knowledge and experience were impressive and the challenges he set were excellent learning opportunities. I went feeling somewhat unsure of what to expect and left feeling hugely encouraged to work to the next stage. I will certainly be booking in with him again! Highly recommended!

Just back from a days climbing with my son and Iain at Unique Ascent. I would thoroughly recommend the set up Iain has. A great days climbing and tuition. He was very patient with us and definitely helped us develop our skills. The routes were superb. Can’t wait to get back
My wife and I took our 17 year old son out for a day sea stack climbing with Iain at Unique Ascent. It was an amazing day. We're all novice climbers so viewed doing this with great trepidation. Iain is amazing, he is so laid back, positive and charming, while oozing professionalism and competency. Iain kept us happy, safe and scared! We pushed ourselves as much as we could and created a memory for life that is hard to beat. His boatmanship and photography skills are pretty awesome too. I think this is probably the best possible way for adventurers to spend a day in Donegal. Thank you and well done, Iain.
Mountain Skills training with Iain Miller was a valuable and memorable experience. His competence and practical approach were matched by exceptional communication and people skills , that brought out the best in participants. I felt like I was learning for the best, and meeting a genuinely inspiring human being. A day well spent!
We spent a day with Iain rock climbing on Cruit. He picked climbs that worked for us all (over 50s and a teenager). There was enough to get the adrenaline pumping but always doable (just about!). Iain was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and really kept us going. We felt absolutely safe at all times. I’d highly recommend. We’ll be back to do the sea stacks!
This was an amazing day, exhilarating to be able to visit the sea stacks out on the Atlantic Ocean. We climbed with the family, 2 parents and 2 teenage daughters we have climbed once or twice before on holiday but you don't need experience just enthusiasm. Iain is a great guide, he even made photos of us with a drone! Love to do it again.

A day out with Ian is simple described using the title of his company Unique ascent. The climb myself and my mates had with him was something truly different from start to finish. Thankfully the weather held off, for the most part, and we were treated to some spectacular views whilst climbing on Cruit island. I can't recommend a day with Ian and his lovely doggo enough, it was truly memorable and more than satisfied my need for an adventure after being stuck indoors for several months.
