Tonight I stood at the register for a few minutes, another customer came in asked an associate down an isle a question, and alerted him there was a customer waiting at the register. She went to exit and said he told her to tell me that there was a bell and I was to ring it. There was no bell, so I stood there for a minute, assuming he couldn’t possibly be that ignorant or lack such basic customer service skills. But sure enough as I walked down to the isle, there he stood sweeping. I alerted him there was in fact no bell. He said oh, & continued sweeping. Some other kid came running to the front after I had returned to the counter. Thankfully he was quick and polite. I only come here if I have no other option. Typically a taller thin woman is working who seems to think it is more important to eat and have social hour than actually do her job. Worst customer service 90% of the time. There is a younger girl that works that is phenomenal and a mature woman with tattoos that she Is always pleasant and efficient. If it wasn’t for them I would have given this store 1 star. Go anywhere else.

Worst customer service I have experience in a long time. I was berated even after apologizing for not noticing a sign that they couldn't sell frozen food today. Maybe lock or tape the doors, put the signs near the handles, accept your customers' sincere apologies? Be quiet and finish the transaction instead of trying to throw your weight around? It's all good, I kept my money and got myself "banned." It's 100% worth it to call out someone who should NOT be in customer service. Hi, corporate?
Decent store, my favorite of the chain. Most of the staff is awesome and the store isn't usually in complete disarray like others. Wish they would add a second entrance though, the one is often difficult to get in/out of.
This is one of the cleaner Family Dollars I have been in and I havent had any bad experiences since I started shopping here almost a year ago. Like any dollar store they have a small staff who is expected to multitask and get everyone checked out quickly and I think they do pretty well.
The staff was both engaging and polite, and very helpful. Will make it a regular stop when shopping.
