I have know this school for over 8 years now, and it has grown a lot. The middle school now has a band and choir program, and it is working on getting that in High School as well. The school lunches are healthy. I do however love that they allow certain kids to take advanced classes. They have a great program to help kids with disabilities or kids that don't speak English. The Primary is a great environment for your kids, and it is a safe environment. High School is great. It's RTC team is a amazing when it comes to preparing your kids for college and beyond. They are with your kids every step of the way.

I have been going to this school my entire life, and I will tell you it has flaws, but it is still growing. That fact of people being wrongly accused aren't always true. Sometimes they were expelled or suspended for certain reasons, but Summit will always warn a scholar before they give any punishments. This school give scholars the option to take advanced classes, and it has classes for special needs. Most teachers are nice, and actually care about their scholars. The High school's RTC (road to college) team is amazing at preparing the students for life in and beyond college.

This is my 3rd year at Summit. And to be honest, I am not very happy with the way the school is ran. Some of the teachers there don't teach very well and there are not many extracurricular activities. I have also noticed the administration has decreased in quality which is very upsetting and unacceptable. This school needs much more improvement. Because from what I have seen in the past 3 years, little changes have been made. Hopefully, this will be changed over time, because of the lack of extracurricular activities and teachers who are actually willing to teach. But eventually, Summit will reach its full potential. I'm also very glad that I'm moving to a career high school that has good reviews and where I have the opportunity to actually express myself to the people around me, whereas Summit made me feel like I was isolated in a prison cell.

The school is a complete zoo. There are no consequences for students, so problem students run amok and and harass teachers on a daily basis. Students here brag about how they get teachers fired or run them out of the school. Detentions and suspensions are rarely given and most students don't even serve them. One of the administrators doesn't even believe in punishments for students and he has been there for over three years. The other administrator has had numerous sexual harassment allegations. They have the same drugs and fights found in any public high school. The principal is never there and she does nothing to support the staff members or students. The teachers are just as unprofessional as their lesson plans are not aligned to the standards. They also make up grades for students when they are too lazy to grade the work. Students are tested with \CA\ exams, finals, and standardized tests throughout the year. The \CA\ exams are all bogus and they receive a 50% curve. There is no accountability across the board and some of the things they do are illegal. The students have no sports or extracurricular activities and they get fined for staying after school or using a cellphone. Uplift schools are far worse than public schools. Don't let the new building and school uniforms fool you, this place is a dump. Find a good, suburban public school or a private school for your child, but avoid this one at all cost.
