Great location. Food was good. Felt wonderful after having fresh ingredients. I'm a regular now and looking like I will have to try everything on there menu.

It was snowing and cold out when we stopped in to the Hunter’s Head Tavern. The Matradee gave us a table by the fireplace and lit the wood fire for us. Due to the snow, the menu was limited. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and a hot chocolate with Bailies and whipped cream. The whipped cream was the read hand made whipped cream, not aerosol cream. The Chicken Pot Pie was excellent. In the pictures you can see the flaky biscuit atop the filling. Looking at the cut of the carrots and potatoes, I could tell this did not come out of a can, it was house-made. I will note that the wine, beer and even the whiskey selections were respectable! There was also a unique house cocktail (The Smoking Hunter) I did not try. I chose a neat pour of Suntory Toki Whisky. The interior is comfortable and rustic in atmosphere, in an old building. You can see the log cabin interior walls. There is also outside heated dining in a tent. I recommend this place!

We stopped in after hiking part of the Appalachian trail. They are located less than 5 miles from a trailhead. Great service, food, and drinks. We loved the charm of the old house. Options for all types of diets. Loved the vegetarian option! Thanks for making our afternoon after a long hike.

An old log cabin with outdoor seating under cover in a courtyard. It was one of very few places open for dinner on Monday. Waitress was nice and attentive. I had potato soup (thought sign said it was chunky or loaded, but was more of a puree) and wedge salad. My husband had a burger with bacon and a cheese with fries, which he said was good. Food was good, as well as service and atmosphere. Food menu was limited, but good drink selection.

Fantastic lunch on the patio today! Can hardly wait to go back. Autumn is a perfect season to go too! The meandering country roads slipping through charming country towns with colorful leaves dancing on the wind as you pass. Time can almost stand still.
