I went to the unit yesterday on a Sunday. I was seen extremely quickly suffering from extreme back pain. I was treated with great concern by everyone from receptionist, nurse and finally doctor. Brilliant, can't praise enough. Karen Smith

I took my 88 yr old mother to this place today after a fall for which she sustained minor cuts an bruising and caused a start of a Haematoma to her left shin. I was totally dismayed with the treatment she received the staff seemed to be running around aimlessly not knowing what they were doing . They didn’t even seem to know how to treat a Haematoma (thankfully it hadn’t spilt open), They left my mother without pain medication as she is unable to swallow tablets (she has swallowing problems) - they could’ve crushed some paracetamol an put it in water for her but they didn’t even offer this to her. So she didn’t receive anything for pain until we got home. The dressings for the cuts an bruises came off within a couple of hours. To protect the Haematoma they put a small thin piece of gauze an a stocking over the leg ( if she had bumped her leg it would’ve bled) so this was unsatisfactory IT IS THE WORST MINOR INJURIES DEPARTMENT I HAVE EVER ATTENDED, THEY ARE AN INSULT TO THE NHS IF I EVER NEED HELP AGAIN I WOULD SOONER GO TO EXETER ED WHERE YOU GET FIRST CLASS CARE AND TREATMENT
