If you have any time in Urubamba, then visit this place. Incredible ceramics, a wonderful collection of ancient pieces, and the work of a world renowned artist. We even got to meet him and chat for a few minutes! A hidden gem in Urubamba. (You will also find perhaps the most beautiful washrooms in all or Peru)
Unique handmade pieces of high quality pottery.
Nice to see some of the ceramic manufacturing, with the two founders around to talk. Liked the parrots and resident dogs walking around.
This ceramics workshop is owned by the world-renowned artist Pablo Seminario, who has works in Chicago's Field Museum and the United Nations headquarters. Guides demonstrate the process of making fine ceramics and don Pablo himself, humble and warm, welcomes you to his studio where he tells of his own history among beautiful and powerful works of art. Many unique ceramic pieces are employed artfully in the construction of the lovely buildings and patios, creating a delightful and welcoming look. The store is full of reasonably-priced handmade pieces crafted by artisans don Pablo has trained. Each work is unique and there is no sense of mass-produced sameness. The ceramics are inspired by the rich and ancient history of Peruvian clay art. Friendly staff help you with questions and carefully pack your purchases to travel safely as hand luggage. The Seminario workshop is a must-see if you visit the Sacred Valley.
Beautiful ceramics, well displayed. Had opportunity to hear from the artist as well.
Beautiful artwork and experience to meet the artists!
Some fabulous ceramic pieces for sale here. Had a tour round the factory to see how things were made. Even got to meet Mr Seminario, lovely guy, nice place to while away a couple of hours
