The food here is sub par, and that's just that. The service was great, staff were polite and punctual, but the meal... I ordered a simple cheeseburger. I have had better gluten free buns than the normal one that came with the meal, the cheddar cheese was cheap and flavourless, and worst of all the beef was crisp with a layer of thick burnt crust. The others with me took salads that I was told were fresh, though perhaps a bit simple and lacking in taste. Overall I believe anyone would be better off going to Arcade across the square, as their food is both cheaper and of a higher standard.

Excellent spot, very atmospheric. Good food and great service. I recommend with no hesitation. Book a table as it is a very busy restaurant.

One week in Valbonne, nearly every day lunch on the town square and dinner upstairs. That should say enough for the atmosphere, the quality of the food and the staff who will provide you a very enjoyable time. Go there. It's beautiful!

Over the last fifteen years l'auberge has made tremendous progress in the service, the food quality and the overall dining or even lunching experience. The Daube Provençale is not anymore the only dish for which it was worth coming. Fresh and original salads, very interesting fish recipes and a new wine carte make it today the first choice of the so charming Arcade square.
