Wood burner install. Excellent service provided from the initial meeting to discuss what we wanted through to advising on wood burning stove options and the actual install of the stove. David at Vale Chimneys did a great job and was very knowledgeable, professional and all the work was carried out on time and without creating any mess. I'd very much recommend the company and will be using them again for when it needs sweeping and any other related work we need.
This winter we finally decided to add a long overdue log burner to the fireplace in our Victorian cottage. David was extremely helpful from the word go and, since we were looking for an installation within a very short time frame, provided a very reasonable initial price estimate ahead of the site survey. After the survey David stuck to his initial estimate and also provided us with a lot of advice on the choice of log burner which we purchased ourselves for him to install. On installation day David arrived on time and worked hard, having the stove installed with a new chimney lining within a few hours. David warned us that he may or may not have to replace the chimney pot and the price would reflect this - to our delight David concluded that he did not have to change the pot, and charged us less accordingly - other people may have charged anyway! We consider David to be honest, hard working and someone who goes above and beyond for his customers. We are over the moon with our new log burner and the service we received from Vale Chimneys.
