Amazing Christmas market in the caves. Open from mid November until 23.12. every year. Good selection of Christmas and other goods and products at reasonable prices. Entry price to the cave in 2018 was 7 euro per adult. Toilets and refreshments available.

I simply LOVED these castle ruins! It is so crazy and amazing to see something that once was a home. Castles are a lovely part of the history, I think. It's a shame that only ruins have left.

I went here on the weekend. We will go to the cave in a group with a guide who will lead us the whole way. It's a very interesting explanation. The tour is quite long and in the end of the tour, we will be free to see the ruined castle. It has a nice view up there to see the whole Valkenburg. A very nice experience

Beautiful site with great views on valkenburg and surroundings. However, the castle, and also information signs and castle models are not what they could be. It does not look like the ruin is being preserved, plants are growing into the stones which could destroy what remains of the old walls. Next to that, signs and models are faded by the sun. All of this while an apparently large sum of money is spent on the presentation of the castle to attract new customers (for instance the large modern glass entrance and restaurant). It would be nice to see more money put into the preservation and presentation of the castle itself. To end on a positive note: it is still a very interesting site to visit and I would recommend doing so.

Nice to see these ruins what remained from this old castle. Recommend together with the cave tour "Fluweelengrot" Which has also a very interesting history.
