We stayed in the new two bedroom, Room 10, which was perfect for our group of 3 adults and 1 child. The kitchen, big living room and private patio was perfect for our stay. We had excellent food, massages at the spa, a swim in the river and a hike to Vardefjell after being recommended by the hotel, and overall an incredible experience.

This place is like nothing you've ever experienced. We stayed two nights at Juvet Landskapshotel in late June. It is an amazing spot. The rooms are not ultra luxurious, but very comfortable. That's not the point though. The beautiful site and the way the individual rooms are located on that site is unlike anything you've ever seen. The contrast with the refurbished farm house and barn you first encounter when arriving is stunning as well. Meals (breakfast and dinner) are served in the barn and the food was excellent. Especially the dinners were absolutely top notch.
Simply amazing. The people, the food, the landscape and of course the hotel. I stayed here for 5 days, and loved every second. The trip from the airport was quite long (around two hours) but well worth it. An old farm, hidden in a picturesque valley with a stream, but now the best hotel I have stayed in without a doubt. Cozy rooms, fantastic steam room and hot tub, plus yummy breakfast each day served in what used to be the cow shed, but is now a communal barn for eating and chatting to like minded travellers. I'd recommend the evening meal, each one sourced locally but could sit next to any of the best restaurants in the world.
An absolutely unique place
Perfect space for workcation. We came here in early Oct. and traffic is light. Not many tourists around at all. The dinner is fantastic. Very satisfied. Room no.2 is the best view.
The food is incredible locally-sourced, Nordic fare that’s both delicious and simple, while still feeling upscale. The combination of autonomous lawn mowers, fjord views no matter where you stand, and the sound of the river is magic.
Unbelievable hotel. One of my absolute favorite hotels in the world. Amazing views, scenery, rooms and staff. The food is second to none. Can't wait to come back.
We considered the birdhouses and the landscape rooms, and ended up in a landscape room. Our glass wall had a view directly down on the river and over towards the opposing side of the bath-house. The peace and tranquility just sitting in the very comfortable chairs, feet up and the view straight down on the river and natural surrounds and the mountain, was simply top draw. Room was excellent, and the courteous, forthcoming and very serviceminded staff made this entire trip a massive success. We also loved how the dinners are organized in the main building. One are placed on oposite side of other guests, which makes for a very social and nice experience. Sharing a meal, even if with strangers, we are all at Juvet for the same purpose, which makes for very easy conversation. As I understood, most, if not all, of the food served are from local partners and in general local produce. Don't forget that there are unique locations, such as Trollstigen just some 20 minutes drive away from Juvet - and heaps more oppurtunities for the trekker. If you don't fancy trekking, you may easily have a breathtaking view by car. The staff are more than happy to help out if you are in the area for the first time and want some tips and info.
