It’s embarrassing that this clinic runs the way it does.

This ONE star is literally only for the high and mighty Dr. Ruben Martinez. Never in the almost 2 years of taking PrEP have I been met with issue, but the disrespect I was met with today by this “professional” is astounding. Having a conversation with a patient is great bedside manner, but when that patient is asked their views on aspects of LGBT healthcare then berated? Then this same patient has to ask their doctor multiple times to stop, with an embarrassed PA in the room - by the way they were great, and I apologize for my behavior and tone as it was less than charming. How many times must a patient tell their doctor they’re not here for politics, but their own healthcare?! He never reviewed my previous bloodwork, or acknowledged that he saw me once in the past and has already given me his spiel. Not to mention, why must he insist on the hypothetical of “if you and I were having sexual relationships.” Hypotheticals can literally be ANYTHING, why this way? It’s inappropriate. I’m amazed at this man’s total lack of empathy.
