Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, France
N/A
A sight to be seen. This place makes you appreciate how small you really are in this world. Witness the the result of the violent force of nature that dug through thick stone for countless years. It's just incredible. A perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy nature. It's not so crowded in June and it's easily accessible, even for less abled people and dogs. Parking is free but there aren't that many spots. Our dog had a blast in the sand and the water. You really shouldn't skip this place! Be careful and respectful to the nature and it's inhabitants. There are frogs, beautiful fish and even snakes in the water that enjoy the place just as much as you do.

This spendid natural arch carved by the river has to be seen if you are around. You can even dare to row through the arch with a kayak. Pretty busy in the summer, but you can get there off season (September) to avoid the crowd.
Go early and you have a great view. Do the Ardeche tour after and you have a great day :)
Very busy with tourists. The rest of the gorge is just or even more beautiful.
An absolutely breathtaking natural site. The drive is such fun too. Many different view points along the route.
Thrilling place fun exercise and a good place for families
It was such a beautiful place to be. It wasn't overcrowded to say its such a well know place in France. If you're ever near then I'd recommend visiting.
This beach area is a great place to spend the day. The river is easily accessible and there are free buses that can get you there and back. Swimming and kayaking are available and there are good locations for jumping into the river from rocks and high points (deep enough and safe). Would recommend going on a hot summer day.
