Went to purchase this dress which was clearly marked down from 159 to 129 at both artemisia locations. Unfortunately I needed a large for my sister and a small for myself and the store only had a large in stock. The other location had the small, so the associate offer that I pay for BOTH in advance so they could hold it, and my sister could pick it up the next day. Half an hour after purchasing and leaving, the owner called my sister (I left her number with the sales associate) and insisted she would not honor the clearly marked down price and insisted we pay 189 (MORE than the original price) for the second dress or she would not give it to us. Even though we had already paid for both and left with 1 of the dresses. Clearly horrific business practices, poor inventory management and trying to scam us because she knew we needed two dresses for a wedding. Will absolutely never be supporting this business again. Update: Upon a reply by the owner from this review, I will add that BOTH locations had the marked down tag, not just one. And the owner herself ripped the tag off of the dress while I was trying it on, and denied doing so or that it was marked down. Yet the second location had the same tag. Curious how both locations had it marked \incorrectly\ according to her.
Bought several beautiful dresses at the Gastown location. The owner was so kind and playful with my friend and I so we had a great time. One of the dresses was a bit too big but I really loved the colour, and she offered me a discount for the dress due to the size issue (on top of the sale they were already having)! I love Artemesia because in Metro Vancouver most fashion stores sell the same products, just rebranded, and it gets boring. It's nice seeing a clothing store with bright colours and unique designs.
I always find exactly what I am looking for here. It has very beautiful dresses for a fair price. One of the stores I always make sure to hit when I make it back to Vancouver
Love the clothing. Beautiful, fairly priced for the quality you get and 100% completely unique. Limited stock though so if you see something you like, BUY IT. I graduated from uni about 4 years back but haven't updated my wardrobe, but their clothing makes me feel like a young professional/adult lady.
