Great place for Chinese herbs and prescription
like
I purchased an item from this company that was apparently miss marked for size. After requesting a refund, I received a wonderful email from a man named Earl. He was very apologetic about the situation, and did a full refund. I didn't know how to reach him directly, but I wanted to let everyone know what a wonderful experience. He told me I should keep the clothing item. I wanted to pass on that the company I work for put out an email the next day saying that they were sponsoring a clothing drive to hel women dress for success! I proudly put the coat into the bin so a lady could be wrapped in a beautiful, warm coat! Thank You so much Beijing trading company!
I have walked by this business a million times and have never gone inside. I am glad I finally did. The herbalist I spoke with was very kind and very through. After an examination, questions and lots and lots of writing, she had my prescription. There is nothing more amazing than watching the staff behind the counter weighing herbs with an abacus, they almost seem to be dancing. Within a few minutes I was handed 2 giant bags of herbs, I wish I had the courage to ask which each was but that would take forever. I came home and boiled my decoction. In a few days I will return to see the herbalist, and in all honesty; she has done more for me in one visit that any doctor has done for me in 40 years. Thank you.
I visited Beijing Trading Company around four years ago and was a patient of Doug Moore for two years. In retrospect, they addressed several health issues which I didn't think were issues, such as allergies, chronic chapped lips, inflexibility, just to name a few. Though I now see several other TCM's (one who actually purchases from this supplier), Beijing Trading Company certainly changed my health for the better. In particular, Doug also suggested some lifestyle changes which have certainly made my life significantly better. The thing is, he requires strict discipline - and he certainly isn't for everybody - but if you have health issues, seeing where I was and where I am now, I can only recommend - especially for starters. Doug's style, in my opinion, is very hands on - he cares a lot about his patients - and he will guide you, but the lifestyle changes are significant and any significant change will be a challenge. Thank You Beijing Trading for introducing me to the world of TCM and changing my life.
Poorest customer service I have ever received! The salesman is impatient, impolite, and lacks adequate knowledge of his own stock!
Went there yesterday to buy some Yunnan Baiyao powder. I was told with a straight face (!) that YB powder was illegal in Canada so they could not stock it anymore. This was an outright lie used to justify not wanting to provide customer service. Completely unprofessional service or lack thereof in all my lifetime of experience of practicing TCM as a Chinese TCM student and therapist and buying and using herbs. I told my TCM doctor co workers about this dismal customer service and the typical anti-Black racism treatment of Blasian folk in Chinatown. Support another business. They definitely do not deserve your patronage. It is embarassing to me and to Chinatown that tourists get an impression of Vancity Ctown from this business. Low standards. Point finale.
