I stayed in a private room. It was the best experience ever I've had in accomodations including hotels. Staff are very friendly and kind. The bed is so cozy. I had to check out really earlier than I planned to. I told the staff about my situation, and they gave me full refund for the nights that I can't stay. I'm so thankful that they are so understanding about the personal emergency-which can happen to anyone. The location of this hostel is so perfect for travelers. It is very near to stations and to drugstore, Canada Place, Gas town and so on. I'm very willing to visit here again for my trip.

A economic choice for staying in Vancouver. But the coverage of washroom is poor and it's too narrow. There are cracks and hole on the floor. Luckily, you can get 5 CAD coupon for breakfast located 5 minutes walk away from here. Besides, they own a very cute cat.
Stayed here for 3 nights, brilliant location, Bunk beds are pretty comfy, the room was clean. Only downfall was the communal men’s bathroom, the sinks looked like they were last washed in the 90’s. The old ball & chain was very happy about the cleanliness of the women’s bathroom. Also be very careful parking your car into the local car park lot. Had our window smashed in. There’s also an amazing pub underneath the Cambie hostel, great selection of beers and great food.
Good position, and cozy hostel. Friendly staff.
I always stay here if I want to stay in downtown Vancouver. Great location! Walking distance to everything. Ding dong the cat is a great addition. Such a sweet cat!
This isn't a bad place to stay and I think can be great for certain travelers. The good: -Great location - easily accessible by train from the airport, walkable to most tourist locations in the city. -Lovely staff who genuinely wanted you to have a great time. -Dorms are only 4/room as opposed to the standard 6/room, so they we're nice and spacious. -Clean bathrooms. -5 off breakfast at a nearby restaurant. The not so good: -The common room is small and not really a place where people hang out. -There is a LOT of road noise - bring earplugs. -There is a lot of light pollution from the road - you will need to cover your eyes at night. -You have to pay to rent a towel to shower.
Terrible experience. Full of bed bugs. They refused my (uninsured) girlfriend compensation for an anti-itch gel. Also lacking in atmosphere despite the great location.
Cozy, compare to price amenities were good, relatively clean, they have a house cat and as a cat person I looooved spending time with her. Will visit again if nothing else for the cat only :)
