Contenders Boxing lives up to the high praise of prior reviews. The trainers are super friendly, highly knowledgeable and always eager to help. They genuinely want you to learn and improve, which makes you want to keep coming back for more and before you know it your skills and your health have drastically improved. The COVID protocols are top notch. The members are friendly and welcoming. It's just a great place to spend time, get in shape, and learn a fascinating sport.

Open, friendly, skilled and clean is what I look for and Contenders definitely delivers. On my first visit, I was surprised at the care they took for new members and ensuring that I had the basics down. Even with all the restrictions, their classes are beneficial and it helps me get my boxing fix. They continue to hold classes for during this time which has been a huge life saver! They share facilities with the YWCA health club and it is top notch. There is a lot of space, it’s fresh and very clean. They also have new punching full-length bags which are great for taking out stress at the end of the day.
I think that most people are hesitant to start boxing because they are worried about learning the sport in an intimidating environment (think dark basement gym with cigar chomping coach yelling at you). Contenders is the exact opposite. The workout is intense, but the coaches are friendly, encouraging, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. I have been coached by Sebastian for over six years and can attest that he is one of the best humans on the planet in addition to being a world class boxing coach. This place is a gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Great gym with awesome coaching team
If you want to learn boxing and get fit this is the place! Great staff and great members. Equipment is new and well maintained. I started boxing there about 6 years ago and I love it more each year. Started doing the classes and the personal training sessions with their boxing experts are a sure way to sharpen up any skills you feel might need improvement. All around great boxing gym!
