We champion issues impacting the lives of people with disabilities through our direct services, community partnerships, advocacy, research and publications. Our activities include: * Assistance accessing income supports and other benefits for people with disabilities * Programs and projects that respond to community need * Workshops and training that build community capacity * Year round income tax filing for multiple years for people with disabilities * Self-help guides and public legal education guides for advocates and the general public * Working with a broad range of stakeholders to promote programs and services for people with disabilities * Working to improve the lives of people with disabilities DABC members and clients are people from all communities. We serve and support: families who need income supports and health services; people who need assistive animals or assistive devices; people with invisible disabilities; people with disabilities who choose to leave the George Pearson Centre and live in their communities.
