We had a fireplace service done, and John did not secure the glass back into place. We have lived in the house for two years with no issues, the fireplace has always been secure and functioning properly. John removed the glass to clean it and a couple weeks later we noticed it was loose and about to fall out. It was about to fall out, and we tried pushing it back into place. Unbeknownst to us, it was still insecure and fell out fully a week or two later. Expert gas fireplace offered no apology, took no accountability for the error, blamed it on us and offered no assistance with repairing it or even just securing it back into place at the very least. They even refused to talk to me over the phone so I could explain the issue better. We filed a Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint. This company is not a BBB accredited business. Do not use them, they take no accountability, have poor customer service and no integrity.

John fixed our fireplace, and a week or two later it suddenly stopped working again. We called him and he returned the NEXT DAY to take care of it and replace another part. He did not even charge us to come back, just for the part he replaced as he said he really should have changed it the first time. We feel it is rare to encounter such honesty from a tradesman! He was on time both times, he is friendly and fun to chat with, and importantly, he wore PPE and was very careful with Covid guidelines and distance, etc. We will not hesitate to call him again and recommend him to friends.

This was my first time hiring any sort of fireplace service and I am super happy with my experience! The communication was efficient, as I was promptly replied to and booked in for an appointment in a week's time. On the day, John arrived on time (even a bit early!!) and got to work right away. He was polite and professional, and got my fireplace to work again in less than an hour! Thank you so so much! Now I know whom to turn to should I have any more issues in the future :D
I was originally scheduled for a December appointment but told if a cancellation came up I'd be contacted. True to their word, I was notified of an opening just 2 weeks after making my service request. John arrived within the scheduled time, wore a mask, was quick to diagnose the problem switch and had it replaced within an hour. He even added some extra glowing embers. I appreciate he was comfortable with the dog and she was calm and content around him - animals are great judges of character! Happy to pay a fair price for expert care and repair :) And he offers a group discount for 5 or more units booking maintenance.
