I went during COVID time, it was very quiet (I prefer the quietness). The clock looks cool with all the steam. I recommend going to it at night to enjoy the lights and night vibe. Every 5 min the clock will have sounds and it’s nice to check it out.

This is a very interesting monument located in the heart of Gastown. It was originally built in 1977 it runs on steam and it produces a puff of steam on its top every hour. If you want clear picture you need to be patient, the monument is usually crowded and maybe you can get a cool shot if you wait enough. Also, I would say early in the morning is the best time to try without having to face the crowd.
Perfect picture op for a romantic vibe. Parking fee isn’t too expensive
Gastown is a very popular tourist attraction in Vancouver but it's really nothing special or great for all that matters. It doesn't help the fact that this area is taken over by the homeless which ruins the experience. Unless you want to take a couple pictures of a clock, there's not much to see or do in this neighborhood. I find the layout very poor and hard to get around.
Had a great valentine's day with my youngest daughter Brook-Lynn yake
