Staff is amazing - super helpful and friendly! The gym is always very clean and well taken care of! Great vibe and layout. Throughout the pandemic I have felt very safe going to Golds West Broadway. The staff is very diligent with their protocols and following guidelines.

If you're looking for an amazing Trainer - request for Mirthy Cheung! If it wasn't for his attention to detail and constant motivation during and outside of training sessions -I'd probably still have my Covid 15 weight and be at a different gym. The place is pricey and I had offers for cheaper memberships with other gyms, but the personal training from Mirthy have brought my fitness level to a new level through proper technique, form and alternative workouts to maximize. I've avoided sharing his talents in fear of him being overbooked, but he has made a tremendous difference in my personal fitness progress over the past 3 months, that others should also benefit from. The overall gym is clean and pretty pricey - but staff are awesome especially the front desk.
This place is always clean and always a good vibe. Things have been extremely difficult post Covid but this place manages to consistently maintain its cleanliness and uphold its customer service. I see the negative reviews and it's mostly about money as if people have some sort of entitled expectations of getting out of contracts just because it's \a gym\. Can you get out of your mortgage as easily? Can you get out of your car lease as easily? And if you do, you pay a penalty. Get over it Vancouver. You want an honest and clean facility to exercise in, this is the place for you! Thank you Gold's!
Currently, I'm maintaining 2 gym memberships. Gold's gym and another known brand. I'm planning to drop one of them once my membership is up for renewal. Initially, I was satisfied with Gold's gym even though, it's farther from my house. I can tolerate the crowd size and the time limit. However, I'm disappointed with the cable accessories. Every time I work out, I have to compete for it in the main floor so I can bring it inside the female area. Most of the time, there's no necessary accessories to do your program. I already raised the issue thrice - staff, over the phone and even in the survey. For instance, the tricep rope attachments are the worst - not only it's always unavailable, they are so \worn-out\ and abraded that it could cause small cuts in your hands because the strands are poking out. How much are those? And if they are not comfortable to use anymore, replace them. I haven't been to Gold's gym for a while now because of that issue. (Maybe I should come this week and check it out). I used to come in 3-4 times a week but I lost interest just because of it. In the meantime, my go-to gym is the other one where there's no shortage of accessories (and, in good condition). Little things like that is a big deal for me. When I enrolled in Gold's gym, I was so ready to give up my other gym membership. That's why they overlapped. I'm now inclined to give up my Gold's gym membership.
Wonderful gym. Our staff worked there during the renovation and seen the highest quality equipment being placed and we decided to get memberships there and workout. Amazing facilities and the best value in the area. Great family owned franchise with happy positive staff.
