Where else can you go for a special night out on a Monday in January with chef prepared food and professional music? This is the place. Everything was perfect. The ambience, the decor, the service, the guitarist and the food, all amazing. I had a particular dietary request; the chef prepared something off menu just for me, how impressive! Later, the chef came to my table so I could thank her personally. My date had the spaghetti which was the best she has ever had. The only negative was the limited wine selection. This did not deter from the overall experience. We finished the meal with a chocolate tart, a very good recommendation from our waitress. I have to mention how amazing the staff was. I go to a lot of restaurants, I know good service. This place gets full marks. The staff was professional, courteous and friendly. After my recent experience, this place has now become one of my top ten favorites in Vancouver. I strongly recommend this place.
I want to preface this that I never write poor reviews and I’m never a hard person to please. However, I was incredibly disappointed with my visit to Guilt & Co. We were seated in the back (which was fine, it was busy) but we were then totally forgotten about. After about 15min someone who was clearly not even a server verified if we had been helped yet. We told him no and he kindly took our drink order. From then it took about 15min to get our drinks and they were sadly pretty awful. It tasted as though they were triples and mine was nearly identical to the taste of cough syrup. Again, I never complain and I can drink anything but our drinks were basically undrinkable. At this point we just wanted to get our bill and leave. We waited another 15min at least again to be able to flag down someone. I explained to them that I knew they weren’t my server as he was clearly avoiding our table when he to my surprise advised that he was our server. We were there for 45min and he didn’t come by once. Ambiance and music wise this place is amazing but be warned of terrible service and bad drinks.
I really liked this place, but it's not a good choice if you don't drink, they don't have nice virgin cocktails and the food options were limited. I also find it a bit pricy for what I ordered ( 30 for a soda and grapefruit cocktail and a 1/3 appetizer)
Great cocktails and great ambience! Went yesterday (Monday night) and they had an amazing guitarist and pianist playing very cool jazz / swing. Ordered their Old fashioned and requested it to be made with Mezcal and tequila. Tired out to be brilliant! Their other cocktails are really good too.
