This is NOT a hostel anymore. This is a homeless shelter. BC Housing has bought a bunch of hostels last september to settle down homeless people as Covid happened. The same situation is with the Downtown Hostel. Probably, the only place to stay in Downtown is across the road - Samesun

Hostel is centrally located! Amazing location in Granville Street, plenty of restaurants, take away and shops right near by! Train and buses run a short distance from the hostel. The rooms are clean and pleasant, and warmed using a radiator in the winter! Bathrooms were spacious and nice. The hostel provides a free breakfast and free wifi. Would stay here again based on its location to Vancouver central.
Great Value for money. The location is just perfect because it is the heart of the city with easy access to Vancouver attractions. Easy public commute,the bus stop is just right at the doorstep. Party places,pubs,bars,restaurants are just within arms reach. Free breakfast buffet and great staff service. They go an extra mile to assist you. Clean linens and clean bathrooms and toilets. I would have wanted to give it a 5-star but the room where I stayed had a broken open window that had a direct view of the wall of the building outside that have vandals.. not a very impressive view.. needs window repair. Overall,great service and great value for money.
Excellent hostel with a comfortable bed, clean room, good breakfast buffet (considering it was free), free luggage storage, good location (within walking distance to a Skytrain station) and excellent customer service. I enjoyed my stay at this hostel in downtown Vancouver and would recommend it. I met a lot of nice people and liked this hostel a lot. They had scheduled activities for guests and this was 1 of the better hostels I have stayed at.
Pretty good hostel, comfortable and clean. Not as comfy as other hostels as the eating area is tiny and very average breakfast. Coffee wasn't that great and vending machines do not take card! Only cash... Bathrooms are spacious and cleaned daily (as are the rooms) but need more bench space to put your stuff. Towels are provided which is helpful and washing/drying is 2 good price, simple and quick. Washing powder only 1 so really decent!! Staff at front are kind of slow and too quiet at times. Sometimes people will be happy to wait long times if the staff acknowledge them as waiting and be polite.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm. The bed and sheets were clean. There were enough bathrooms that I never had to wait. The shower had good enough water pressure. I was in the room near the laundry room, so I could hear the washers spinning, but I sleep with ear plugs so it didn't bother me. Great centrally located location, it was convenient for everything I had planned. There was a continental breakfast which was simple but filling (cereal, fruit, mini muffins, pastries, toast, bagels, coffee, tea, juice.) I recommend this place and would stay here again.
It's a great place for people who want to get help and possibly change your life and make a difference
First time staying in a hostel and really enjoyed the experience. Staff were friendly and accommodating, bathrooms were large, and rooms were clean. Storage lockers are a little small for anyone backpacking (our roommates couldn’t fit theirs). The location is very convenient but comes at a cost. The surrounding streets are very dirty and loud. Staff does a good job addressing safety concerns and the facility felt very secure despite witnessing multiple car break ins and assaults. Enjoyed having a home away from home.
