Well located in the Gastown area of old Vancouver . A good supply of Scottish tartans and Celtic items . Sales and rentals

Kilt rentals. The full dress deal, complete with socks, special shoes, fur sporran - the works. Huge stock, and lots of different tartans. The man who works there doesn't look Scots in the least, but he really knows his stuff and appreciates the traditions. He will kit you up beautifully. My husband and I had a formal ball, and rented for the occasion. Phone ahead though. He is alone in the shop, and if he has stepped out you will miss him.

Stopped in and asked the lady behind the counter if they had kilts since we didn't see any upon entering. She simply said "Yes" and then proceeded to ignore us until we simply left out of awkwardness.

Just walked out of there, Owner was rude and disdainful towards my wife and I... Heading Celtic Creations... would not recommend House of MacLaren to anyone. Thoroughly disgusted

This is a small touristy Scottish shop. It has a good variety of items that are hard to find outside of Scotland.

I called and asked if they had red kilt hose. They said yes, so I went down to buy a pair. I got there and they didn't have any. A total waste of my time.
