I've been at this dojo for over 6 years - this place has taught me so many life lessons as well as defensive skills. The instructors teach us with compassion and are constantly pushing us to be our best. Odokan is a traditional dojo and through their lessons, we are always taught about respect and discipline. Nevertheless it's a very friendly environment! Odokan Shito-Ryu Dojo is a really good place to train at.

I got yelled at for having injured toes and not being able to jump properly and was forced to jump onto those toes with excruciating pain untill the sensei deemed it 'acceptable'. Before this I've also been kneed, kicked, and punched by the two senseis. I haven't spoken up about this because I am a very soft spoken and quiet person. But being yelled at because I can't jump due to an injury I got AT the dojo was the last straw.
Very focused on competitive, sport-style karate with traditional teachings mixed in. Caters more to youth and adults under 30 for this reason. Very few adults attend here other than instructors.
This place sucks
This real traditional Karate dojo.
