A safe place to go for those who are marginalized by the rest of society. It's not perfect and kind of rough around the edges, but, when you have been denied a safe place to deal with your substance needs, come by OPS. You respect them and they will do their best to respect you. The majority of the people working at OPS are currently using or have used, so, they get it when most others might not.

I'm a volunteer at OPS and I have nothing but admiration for Sara: Trey, Amie, Riki, and all of the rest of those be who show up for work every day, day in and day out. These Hero's save lives EVERY DAY IF THE WEEK! THESE people are the true First Line Responders; I give every compliment possible to the Paramedics, Ambulance Attendants and other Medical professionals for the careers they've chosen to devote their lives to. When the P.N.E.chose to honor the first line responders by giving them an all day free pass last summer... I think they may have somehow forgotten those at the Safe Injection Sites who volunteer their time and are the ones who attended the Overdoses first and administered by the Naloxen which saved the lives. Way to go team --- You ROCK!
