The single private room was clean, with linens and towels provided, and otherwise a typical freshman dorm room. 2/day router rental to get WiFi in the room. Shared washroom, thin mattress, microwave and fridge in common room. Keycard access to the building (the rooms are outside the check-in building in various dorms), physical key access to the room. The trail and stairs to the beach were a 5 minute walk, anything downtown 45-60 minutes via bus with 1km walk to the bus. It was exactly what I needed, in a peaceful location, and decent price for being in Vancouver.

It's a decent place for a hostel. Very clean for the most part. Rooms are very basic. Mattress way too hard! Otherwise, it's a decent value especially if you're coming UBC and want to experience what the student residency feels like.

2 beds 1 person per bed... separate sleeping rules (even for married couples, partners, significant other). 1 bed is only allowed 1 person for that room more sleeping rules No wifi No parking unless you pay on top of paying for a room Each room smells like a library storage room with a urine mustiness You also have to make your own bed before you can sleep on the bed Here are some decor pictures of what comes with your fee for the 2 bedroom. Also you can't get refunds, once you get the key and even if you aren't satisfied with everything. Too bad! Also I just went to the kitchen area and it smells just like gangrene and China town mix together. Also I think our next door neighbour is smoking marijuana.

Great price for beautiful location. No wifi, which surprised me, and those with mobility issues should make sure they request a ground floor room, as there were no elevators in my building. I would stay again!

I stayed in Korea house, and like most rooms did not have access to wifi except in the main/centre building. The room had a wired connection, but you had to bring your own cable. They do have cables to sell at the main desk, but these are only for computers with an ethernet port. When I explained my computer had no such port they suggested I roam off campus to buy a router. The beds are thin and uncomfortable and the bathrooms/showers are shared. That being said it's in a nice, safe spot and the best price for a private you'll find in Vancouver.

Clean and fairly comfortable. Better than most hostels in Vancouver. Be warned though: food on the UBC campus is quite expensive!

Staff were excellent and did their best to help you with anything you needed. Place is a bit dated but clean. Mattress can be uncomfortable and can hear noise from hallway but price can't be beat
