I have been using Qtrade since 2008. For the past 3 months I noticed customer service became very poor. It has deteriorated. 50 min Avg waiting time during Market hours and ever afterward. Email response takes avg 2-7 days. Now they announced wait time 16 min, but still waiting over 50 min. No call back option and they are not hiring anyone to assist customers. They claim all discount brokage are experiencing the same. I am not convinced and we deserve better service. Now I rate QTrade Big zero. I will take my business somewhere else.
The high commission price, when compared the customer service reps being rude and dismissive about questions, sealed the deal. I am moving to Trade Zero in recommendation of a close friend. Truly disappointed in the experience. That being said, the home screen looks great.
Qtrade has shut down its customer service using the lockdown as an excuse! When customers have to wait for 4 hours to reach a customer service representative, automatically they will be compelled to disconnect as people have to work for a living and if the wait times are so high, it's just very problematic to wait in queue for that long. They lock people out from their accounts and they shut down customer service. There's no way to sue this organization as they are so NOT transparent! They are the worst in business and the extent to which collusion exists is proven by their claims of receiving consumer choice awards as they award themselves with such awards or their inner circle cronies do. This is no surprise in the financial industry which is beyond crooked. Learning to award yourself with awards is what one must learn before they join this industry. Such 'awards' help rip off the unsuspecting vulnerable consumers for sure. Zero stars is what I want to give but you can't post without clicking on a star.
Great platform for the investor who knows what they are doing and willing to learn. I'm getting great results.
