I approached the owner of Roton to see if he wanted to stock Marine Handbooks. These books were written to help people understand and get the most out of their electronics. The handbooks have received great reviews in Pacific Yachting and Western Mariner magazines. The owner of Roton said he didn't want to sell the handbooks in his store because he didn't want his sales staff spending their time that way. He said, instead of selling a 20 book, they could be selling something worth hundreds of dollars. This told me that the owner of this store is more interested in money than he is in providing good service to his customers. Within a few days my husband and I bought a very expensive radar. We bought it from Harbour Chandler in Nanaimo even though we were living in Richmond.

Very rude people, they look down on their customers like they are better than them. It's a shame really they have a great location, but unlike every other shop on Granville island they are closed on the weekend. I give my money to steveston marine any day over Roton the ppl at steveston are actually helpful and will share their knowledge with you. I wouldn't shop here but unfortunately they are the only espar heater dealer and I have a D5 heater recently purchased online for my boat so I'm at their mercy. Terrible place to shop and prices are extremely high. go somewhere else if you can.

Thank you to Ken for helping us figure out what was wrong with our Garmin chart plotter. It took just 5 minutes on the phone and swapping out the correct fuse was easy. No charge to us but now a loyal Roton customer.
