This place is excellent. Very clean. The staff is constantly cleaning and sanitizing. Staff is helpful and friendly, bar is great. Kitchen is super big, lots of showers that are all individual and lock. Very safe and secure building. Would definitely come back and plan to explore other locations. Only criticism: it would be really great if they got WIFI extenders or something so that I could actually access it in the rooms. Works awesome in the common areas but not at all in either room I have stayed in.

At the moment

I slept with other 3 guys in 4 bed room. These 3 guys were from America. Room was clean but you must prepare some hygiene stuffs. You can keep your foods with labeling and cook foods. You can have relation with other foreigners with barter foods.

I have stayed in Samesun for three times in the past 6 months and my experience here has always been amazing, every single time. So affordable prices for decent and clean rooms. The washrooms are clean as well. Staff's pretty awesome and helpful. You might have to bring your own slippers, toothbrush, soap etc. but they do provide towels. Breakfast is free from 8:30-10 am (bagel and tea/coffee!). Such an awesome and transit accessible location! Would definitely come here again. Huge shout-out to Ryan for being such a chill receptionist ! :) Cheers !

They kicked out one of my friends who was staying here for 6 months, because he made a customer complaint. This guy had never caused any problems, nicest guy around, always calm and king and extremely generous with everybody. In addition, he was supposed to be quarantined, but they kicked him out anyways, which seems illegal. Would not recommend.

Airline Lush

First impressions, very friendly staff, cool communal spaces. lots of room to sit. wifi works well . Area is a bustling community of Granville street shops, bars and other business including 7-11, and Tim Hortons. I was able to have delivery apps dropping off dinner and a bottle of wine to this location . Space available to cook, store food, communal area that is wiped down often. Other guests are friendly. masks are optional. no shaming from either side. My only concern is one bed had a very strong smell of urine. since we are only allowed 3 to a 6 bed dorm , I was able to opt for a upper bunk. I bought room scent and spray it accordingly and it seems to work. I also recieved a refund no problem for nights I will not use due to returning to work earlier than I expected. :( Cons. The nightlife in Van is very healthy and alive. expect that noise to find its way into your ears So, bring earplugs have your own towel, a room freshener spray of your choice and a lock for the locker for personal items.

For my first hostel experience, from the US, the staff is great, the rates are great, the bar down stairs and guided tours/recommendation spots for food, trips etc. Mind, this is a review one year after my experience, and I still remember how wonderful it was. Keep in mind, pack light, bring sandals or some for the showers, and make change for toonies or loonies for laundry, and a locker padlock for a personal locker. Was an absolute blast, and from what I heard in the town, this was one of the best of the hostels around. (Was here for LTX19 and loved the people I met along the way!)

Not as shown. Stained carpet and drywall, not hardwood and brick. Staff is incredibly rude. Was given a key card and piece of paper with the wifi code along with a post-it note with my room number, no other info. Dirty, smelly, avoid at all costs.
